Free 3D Screening Mammograms this October
For uninsured women in our community, Raleigh Radiology is offering free 3D screening mammograms on select days in October. Early detection saves lives, and cost shouldn’t stand in the way.
To qualify: women 40 or older, currently uninsured, with no current symptoms of breast cancer. Appointments are required and spots fill quickly each year.

Do I need a doctor’s referral for a screening mammogram?
No — you can schedule your annual screening mammogram directly with us. A diagnostic mammogram may require a referral depending on your situation.
How often should I get a mammogram?
Most women benefit from an annual screening mammogram. Talk with your healthcare provider or one of our Breast Navigators about the right schedule for you.
What if I have dense breast tissue?
Ask about 3D breast tomosynthesis and our 15-minute Fast Breast MRI — both are designed to give a clearer view when tissue is dense.
Will my insurance cover it?
Screening mammograms are typically covered as preventive care under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Diagnostic mammograms may be subject to your deductible. Self-pay pricing is available and listed above.
How long does the appointment take?
A screening mammogram is quick — most are scheduled for about 15 minutes. The Fast Breast MRI takes about 15 minutes.
