Dr. Jamie Doster loves working at Raleigh Radiology. Joining the group right out of her fellowship seven years ago, she appreciates the daily interaction with the high-caliber cadre of interventional radiologists with a real patient focus on providing the best care to the community. In addition, she enjoys this subspecialty of radiology, where real-time X-ray fluoroscopy or ultrasound imaging allows for minimally invasive procedures to address health concerns because it enables her to develop a rapport and a good relationship with her patients. “I try to be relatable and meet them where they are coming from,” says Jamie.
As the parent of young children, she also values the opportunity to balance her work and life while being on the cutting edge of interventional radiology. Dr. Doster appreciates the many options to be involved in leadership and is happy she can maintain her family balance as she takes on these roles. Enjoying traveling and running to ‘relieve stress,’ she is proud to have completed the Berlin Marathon, her 5th marathon, this past fall and enjoyed including her family. “Letting my kids enjoy different cultures and places in the world as they get older” is part of the benefit of having a group, like Raleigh Radiology, that is responsive to the need to have a work-life balance while supporting the careers of their doctors through leadership opportunities.
